A Saginaw Valley State University student was just tired and went to the health center. The student was referred to her family doctor who put her in the hospital who transferred her to the University of Michigan Hospital. She was put on a waiting list for a liver transplant. She did not have to have the transplant because a medication was found to help her. She had no surgeries but the cost the insurance company paid was over $40,000.
